Cookin’ With Dragons: A Deep Dive into the Dragon Shelter Cooking & Crafting Mechanics

The new trailer for Wild Forest Studio’s cozy fantasy farming sim takes a deeper look at how players’ newfound dragon friends use their abilities to assist with completing quests, rebuilding the town, and cooking up a storm in the kitchen.

Wednesday 29th July 2026, London, UK – Wild Forest Studio and Curve Games have today revealed an extended look at the cooking and crafting mechanics players can find in cozy fantasy farming sim Dragon Shelter when it launches on PC on 24th September. The newest trailer sees Oleg Babenkov, Game Director at Wild Forest Studios, talk through how the cooking and crafting in game is amplified by the use of helpful – if sometimes overzealous – dragon companions.

Cooking in Dragon Shelter lets players flex their culinary skills as they plan the layout of their kitchen, organise resources, and harvest homegrown ingredients to whip up something delicious and wholesome to bring the townsfolk together. Crafting allows players to show their care for the town as they work to build trust, restore homes and shops, cultivate gardens, and bring back small comforts to the community.

Dive into Dragon Shelter’s cooking and crafting with this new trailer:

Dragon Shelter welcomes players to their new home, where they will cultivate crops, craft tools, befriend townsfolk and, of course, raise and care for a variety of unique dragons. Players will work to restore the long lost bond between humans and dragons as they breathe life back into the desolate town they now call home, bring the townsfolk together over hearty meals, and restore the buildings to their former glory.

For budding dragon tamers who can’t wait until September, a demo is currently available on Steam, offering up the opening moments of the cosy farming sim to enjoy.

Dragon Shelter Key Features:

  • Dragon Management – Befriend, nurture, and assign dragons to activities around your farm
