Ironhide reaffirms its commitment to the community with significant changes to Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis before full release on September 24, 2026
MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay – July 28, 2026 – Ironhide Game Studio is celebrating the 15th anniversary of Kingdom Rush with the announcement of Classic Mode for Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis, a series of anniversary events and significant changes to the game following community feedback.
First released during the Flash era, Kingdom Rush has grown from a project created by three friends in Uruguay into an internationally recognised strategy franchise supported by a 50-person team. The anniversary celebrates 15 years of towers, heroes, epic battles, Easter eggs and exploding sheep.
“Fifteen years ago, Kingdom Rush began as a game that three friends wanted to play,” said Pablo Realini, co-founder of Ironhide Game Studio. “The fact that it has become a universe shared by players around the world is something we could never have achieved without this community. This milestone belongs to every player who has defended the kingdom alongside us.”

Classic Mode comes to Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis
Created as a tribute to the original 2011 game, Classic Mode will allow players to complete the full Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis campaign using one hero, the four original tower families and the classic Rain of Fire and Reinforcements spells.
Players will be able to build Barracks, Archer, Mage and Artillery towers using their original upgrade paths, including familiar specialist towers such as the Rangers Hideout, Holy Order, Arcane Wizard, Tesla x104 and Big Bertha.
“Classic Mode is a love letter to the game that started everything,” said Gonzalo Sande, co-founder of Ironhide Game Studio. “It gives longtime players an opportunity to return to the strategies they remember, while introducing a new generation to the foundations of the series.”

Throughout its 15-year history, Ironhide has worked closely with the Kingdom Rush community to shape the future of the franchise. Feedback shared through social, community discussion, videos, the demo and direct conversations continues to play an important role in the development of Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis.
As a result of that feedback, even before release, Ironhide is making meaningful changes to the game to ensure the experience remains true to the strategy, personality and spirit that players expect from Kingdom Rush.

Anniversary celebrations
The 15th anniversary programme will also include a fan art competition, a community story giveaway, anniversary-themed Kingdom Rush Battles content and special events hosted through the official Ironhide Discord server.
