Today, Atari and Jasozz Games launched their well-regarded indie first-person shooter CULTIC on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for $19.98.
CULTIC’s console release includes CULTIC: Chapter One and CULTIC: Chapter Two together in a complete edition, featuring a combined 23 maps full of blood, grit, and, of course, cultists. After completing the story, players can test their skills in the wave-based Survival Mode.
While rooted in the style of classic shooters, CULTIC modernizes the formula with a 3D world and accessibility that caters to a wide variety of play styles and skill levels. Players can charge headfirst into combat, or take a slower, more strategic, methodical approach. Developed by solo creator Jason Smith and released on PC in 2022, CULTIC draws inspiration from 90s classic shooters including Jedi Knight Dark Forces 2 and Resident Evil 4, featuring gunplay combined with a gritty, pixelated retro aesthetic. The title gained traction within the retro-shooter community for its physics, environmental interactivity and satisfying combat, earning “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews on Steam.
