Amazon Game Studios and Crystal Dynamics have just released the fourth in a series of mini-documentaries on the making of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a stunning reimagining of Lara Croft’s defining 1996 debut adventure.
This episode focuses on how the Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog teams reimagined Lara’s movement and traversal. Developers discuss how they recreated her moves from the original Tomb Raider, the work that went into the controls and the physicality of the character, and the visual language that guides players throughout the game. Lara Croft voice actor Alix Wilton Regan also provides insight into real-life training she’s done to bring Lara to life.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will launch Feb. 12, 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2.
