Befriend a “bunch” of Bananyas when Bananya Buddies, a mobile cat-collecting game based on the beloved anime shorts streaming on Crunchyroll, launches this Summer exclusively on Crunchyroll Game Vault. Pre-registration on Google Play is available now and with the App Store coming soon.
The first original game on Crunchyroll Game Vault is going to be… BANANAS! Crunchyroll Games and TMS Entertainment worked hand-in-paw with independent studio, The MIX, to bring the magic of Bananya from the screen and into the palm of your hand. Now, players can spend even more time with the world’s favorite banana-dwelling cats. Bananya Buddies is designed to capture all the magic of the series in a cute, cozy package where fans can play mini-games, earn rewards, and deck out the ultimate Bananya hangout pad.

- Who Doesn’t Love Toys and Treats? – Leave them out for Bananyas to enjoy and boost their Buddy Points! The more Buddy Points they have, the longer they will stay and give you gifts in return.
- Become Best Buddies – Reach Best Buddies status with a Bananya to have a sleepover. What happens if you reach Best Buddies Forever status? You’re going to have to play to find out!

When Bananya Buddies launches this summer, it will be the banana on top of a Crunchyroll Game Vault-sundae of nearly 100 titles, available exclusively for Crunchyroll members at the Mega and Ultimate Fan tiers in more than 200 countries and territories. About Bananya 10th Anniversary Anime Special:
The anime special will bring delightful new adventures to fans when it premieres during Anime Expo on July 4 at 10AM, exactly 10 years since the release of the first episode on July 4, 2016. Following the premiere, the special will come to Crunchyroll on July 9.
Official Synopsis: When I open my eyes, a bizarre world spreads before me. I spot strange kitties inside bananas… Bananyas, if you will. Hold on a moment, what is going on? Did I turn into a Bananya myself?! Through the forest, over the mountain, and across the land, we set out on a journey with the Bananyas in search of missing treasures.
The upcoming short features a brand-new theme song to commemorate the franchise’s milestone, and an all-star voice cast:
