Running from June 15-22, Steam Next Fest will feature an updated demo packed with community-driven improvements, previously unreleased content, and a deeper look at the harsh world awaiting those desperate enough to search for Haven.
Set in a world where a mysterious resource known as Elios has transformed life, death, and the balance of power itself, Dunebound Tactics follows a band of survivors fleeing the reach of a brutal empire. Legend speaks of Haven, a sanctuary hidden beyond the endless desert. Few are willing to seek it.
Players command a mobile caravan across the shifting Sands, managing scarce resources while navigating hostile encounters, difficult choices, and an ever-changing journey. Every expedition presents new opportunities and dangers as rival factions, deadly creatures, and environmental hazards stand between the survivors and their destination.
Combat blends turn-based tactical battles with highly interactive environments. Players can summon pillars to create cover, block enemy advances, reshape the battlefield, or trigger devastating chain reactions. Terrain itself becomes a weapon as explosive objects, environmental hazards, and strategic positioning create opportunities to overcome overwhelming odds.
Beyond the battlefield, survival requires difficult decisions. Elios powers the caravan’s journey across the desert, but supplies are limited. Crew members can be recruited, lost, or even sacrificed to continue the expedition. Every choice carries consequences, shaping both the journey and the fate of those who undertake it.
