A rhythm visual novel about our pets’ unconditional love.
Boulder, Colo. (June 4, 2026) – Today at Women-Led Games, developer and publisher Serenity Forge (Fractured Blooms, BAD END THEATER, To the Moon) announced that Puppergeist, a rhythmic visual novel, will launch July 16, 2026 on Nintendo Switch, XBOX, Steam, and Epic Games Store. The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer, offering a first look at the game while also unveiling a lineup of celebrated guest composers contributing to its soundtrack.
Developed in-house by Serenity Forge, Puppergeist invites players to join a young witch named Claire on her rhythmic journey into the Doggie Underworld as she searches for her lost Pup. Along the way, Claire meets Lunne, her new demon friend, and a cast of doggie spirits whose stories of friendship, love, and loss add warmth and emotional depth to her adventure. Every connection moves the story forward through rhythm-based mini-games and remixes.
Puppergeist also features contributions from creators who helped shape the game’s heartfelt tone and style, including art direction by NomnomNami (creator of BAD END THEATER), composer Kris Wilson (co-creator of Cyanide & Happiness), and music by Kan Gao (creator of To the Moon) and Kawai Sprite (creator of Friday Night Funkin’). Together, they work to create Puppergeist’s playful, heartfelt and haunting atmosphere.
