LOS ANGELES – JUNE 4, 2026 – Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of high-quality games, has announced a new update for its action game Solo Leveling: ARISE. Players can look forward to experiencing a new hunter, expanded story content, new dungeons, and various in-game events.
The update adds SSR hunter Liu Zhigang, a Fire-type Elemental Buster known for his stylish combat style that alternates between a sword and dao. His skills include “Hidden Dragon,” a technique where he swings his sword and dao powerfully from side to side; “Skyborne Dragon,” a move that sends him leaping into the air with an upward slash before delivering a powerful downward strike; and “Fire Dragon Ascension,” a skill that lets him absorb the power of a dragon to gain immense strength.
New story content has also been added, with Chapters 32 through 34 now available on Hard and Reverse Hard difficulties. Players can also explore the newly added Story Codex, where they can view webtoon scenes and illustrations from cleared main story chapters in one place.
Additional content includes the new dungeon “The First Land,” the new Remnant Power from Legia, two new Wind-type SSR weapons – “Soma & Asura” and “Moonlit Gale” – as well as eight new Surtur’s Flame artifact armor and accessory items.
Multiple in-game events are now available to celebrate the update. Players can participate in three “On the Road to the 3rd Anniversary!” events, the “2nd Anniversary Celebration! Artifact Crafting & Modification Event,” and Challenge Events to earn a variety of rewards by playing the game.
Solo Leveling: ARISE is an action game adaptation of the hit webtoon, Solo Leveling. Taking on the role of Jinwoo, players can experience his journey through the beloved webtoon tale firsthand, leveling up, taking on dynamic battles, and creating their own combat styles by selecting various combinations of skills and weapons. Not only can players team up with hunters from the webtoon, they can summon their own “Army of Shadows” with the iconic phrase: “Arise.”
