SEATTLE — April 28, 2026 — Drill Core, the roguelite mining strategy simulator from developer Hungry Couch and publisher tinyBuild, explores a new tech biome with today’s launch of ‘The Machine World DLC’ on PC via Steam. Wide-eyed Platform Managers also join the assembly line as Drill Core launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch today.
The well-meaning (but totally notnefarious) family at Drill Core Inc. welcomes new and veteran miners to the rustic depths of the Tech Biome. Descend through uncharted territory where robotic foes, towering boss encounters, and unforeseen events stand in the way of mining crucial resources.
Exploit recruit fresh talent from five new specialists, with their own suite of gameplay abilities. Choose carefully, as once these specialists perish, they will never return. Extract resources during the day, deploy factory-ready drone turrets at night, and experiment with updated builds through the laboratory upgrade branch before calling it a day. Alter gameplay with the Distortion mechanic, sell perks for profit, and conquer greater challenges through 10 new difficulty levels. Join a hard-working (and totally notburnt out) team of Platform Managers as they lead miners, carriers, and guards across grueling expeditions for resources. Repel enemies with sturdy defenses, research cutting-edge innovations, and manage resources effectively to keep the workflow on track.
“Upper management couldn’t contain themselves with ‘The Machine World DLC’ and all the new content it offers,” said Konstantin Burov, Head of Hungry Couch Games. “While the Machine World DLC is exclusive to PC, there’s still plenty of work to go around. We can’t wait to see what revenue Platform Managers on consoles can generate for us.”
Drill Core’s ‘The Machine World DLC’ is available now for Windows PC via Steam. The R’n’D Department also greets novice miners on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S today.
