Demon Artist Kazuma Kaneko Returns to Consoles With A Brand New RPG Story
Tokyo, Japan (April 24, 2026) – Developer Colopl and renowned video game artist Kazuma Kaneko today have released KAZUMA KANEKO’S TSUKUYOMI for the Nintendo Switch system. Combines the fast-paced and strategic elements of a deck-building roguelike with a robust and compelling story, character design, and world building Kazuma Kaneko is known for from his previous RPG works. TSUKUYOMI is now available digitally through the Nintendo Switch eShop priced at $24.99 / £22.49.
In TSUKUYOMI, players take on the role of four Divine Hunters as they make their way through the demon infested floors of The Hashira. This state-of-the-art high rise has been sealed off by the mysterious Noriko Tomi. Each of the four Tskukuyomi have their own strengths and weaknesses in battle. Careful deck building strategies will ensure players utilize each character’s unique play style to take down the over 40 bosses that stand in the way of the ultimate truth. As players defeat bosses and move across floors, they will have the opportunity to level up and acquire Tsukimono, items that buff characters on individual runs. Completion of the game’s story mode will unlock post-game content for players looking to put their skills to the test with increased difficulty.
Throughout their journey, players will make critical decisions which will have consequences in the moment, and alter their character’s moral alignment which determines the type of Creation Cards* they obtain when they encounter the character Okami. With over 3,000 Creation Cards to be found in the game, no two playthroughs will be the same as players encounter Creation Cards Okami has bestowed upon them from previous runs.
During the middle of the game’s story, players will encounter the iconic Devil Hunters: Dante, Nero, and Vergil from Capcom’s iconic action title, Devil May Cry 5. Depending on the player’s choices, they will engage in battle against these formidable foes. The Devil Hunters boast immense combat prowess and will attack players using highly powerful unique skills. While the battles will be challenging, defeating them yields massive rewards. Upon victory, the Devil Hunters will join Tsukuyomi as powerful “Jinma” card allies, allowing players to experience the exhilarating “Stylish Action” of Devil May Cry 5 through strategic card battles with unique card effects that faithfully recreate their traits from the original game.
