Hertfordshire, 27th March 2026 – KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Team NINJA, together with KONAMI, are pleased to announce that the SILENT HILL f collaboration DLC is now available for free in FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE on PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch™ 2, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC via Steam®. Fans can also purchase both games at a discounted price with a newly released Steam® bundle.
SILENT HILL f is the latest title in the renowned psychological horror franchise SILENT HILL, which has sold over 14 million copies worldwide. This free DLC adds SILENT HILL f’s Shimizu Hinako’s iconic Navy Sailor School Uniform and Fox Mask. The Navy Sailor School Uniform can be worn by Mio, and the Fox Mask accessory can be worn by both Mio and Mayu. Players can use these costumes to add the ephemeral mystery of SILENT HILL f to their playthrough of FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE.
Players can dive deeper into Japanese psychological horror with the newly released Steam® bundle that includes both titles at a 10% discount. Players who already own one of the titles can still receive the discount on the other unowned title.
FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE is a full remake of the second game in the FATAL FRAME (Project Zero) series which was originally released in 2003 for PlayStation®2 as FATAL FRAME/Project Zero II: Crimson Butterfly and is one of the most acclaimed games in the series.The title has undergone a complete overhaul to offer a haunting experience, thanks to enhanced graphics and sound. The graphical enhancements offer a higher level of detail with refined textures, striking lighting and shadow contrast, while the sound has been revamped to offer spatial audio that will immerse players deep into the action, offering a more haunting and realistic experience than ever before.
In the title, players follow twin sisters Mio and Mayu Amakura as they venture into a mysterious village, guided by a crimson butterfly. In Minakami Village, a place of unending night, Mio is separated from her sister and must search for her in order to escape, armed only with the Camera Obscura—a device that can capture the impossible and seal away wraiths that haunt the dark. The Camera Obscura, a signature feature of the FATAL FRAME franchise, has been reworked to offer a more intense and rich experience during combat and exploration. Not only will players still be able to attack wraiths by taking photos, but they will also have access to new features such as focus, zoom and filters, as well as new Special Shots to help them inflict significant damage and repel spirits.
Fans can now purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes the base game, the Digital Soundtrack and Digital Art Book, as well as the Digital Deluxe Bonus Set featuring the Deluxe Charm and costumes for Mio and Mayu*. A Digital Deluxe Upgrade is also available separately.
FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE is now available on PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch™ 2, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC via Steam®. The game features Japanese and English voiceover, with text in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese.
