ROUTINE is a first-person sci-fi horror set on an abandoned lunar base in a retro-futuristic 1980s vision of the future. What begins as quiet exploration turns into a fight for survival when the base has gone completely silent and something far more sinister than a malfunction awaits. As you roam through the eerie halls of the moon station — from decaying living quarters and deserted malls to derelict transit sectors — every corridor, every flickering terminal, and every shadow could hold clues to what went wrong… or a killer lurking in wait.
With minimal UI, diegetic audio, and full-body awareness, ROUTINE emphasizes immersion and atmosphere over hand-holding. Your main tool — the Cosmonaut Assistance Tool (C.A.T.) — becomes your lifeline: use it to access terminals, gather clues, and interact with the environment. But when danger strikes, running, hiding, or using the C.A.T. as a last-ditch defence becomes your only options. It’s a slow-burn horror experience that builds dread not with cheap jump scares, but through mounting tension, isolation, and the unknown.
