Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution takes place between the original Shantae (2002) and Shantae: Risky’s Revenge (2010). In this restored Game Boy Advance sequel, Shantae must thwart Risky Boots’ scheme to rotate and rearrange entire landmasses using the Tremor Engine. As the half-genie hero, you’ll unleash her signature hair-whip, belly-dance into six creature transformations (monkey, elephant, crab, spider, harpy, and mermaid), and navigate mind-bending mix-and-match multilayered levels—switching between foreground and background to solve puzzles and outmaneuver enemies.
This modern port by WayForward brings vibrant visuals, high-def portraits, updated menus, and a deluxe edition packed with exclusive outfitting (Relic Hunter, High Voltage, Sizzle Armor) that also enhance specific attacks. It also introduces a brand-new four-player local Battle Mode, letting friends compete across Shantae’s iconic world—a first for the series. The long-lost adventure finally launches digitally across platforms on August 19, 2025, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows (Steam), Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
