JOYCITY celebrates the milestone with an $80k USD livestreamed cross-platform 3on3 Global Championship
IRVINE, CALIFORNIA – Sept. 20, 2023 – 3on3 FreeStyle, the online multiplayer street basketball game developed by JOYCITY, scores 500,000 monthly active cross-platform ballers across PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. In celebration, a tournament with a prize pool of up to $80,000 USD tips off tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023 at 5-7 PM PDT, 3-5 PM CEST, and 6-9 PM KST, and will be streamed live on the official 3on3 FreeStyle YouTube channel.
More than 300 teams will compete to be among the 32 North American, 16 European, and eight Asian teams moving forward. All-star teams will go head-to-head for the first place prize of $3,000. Rookies will participate in the separate league, where they can be awarded $100 for winning 10 games in a row.
Jump into local and online 3v3 and 1v1 multiplayer modes for fast-paced yet easily approachable competition. Soar over defenders’ heads and break the backboard with rim-shaking alley-oops and stunning slam dunks.
Dribble over to the dynamic practice lobby to get comfortable before stunting on the other team. Find flashy ways to pass the ball on stages inspired by real-life street basketball courts and test out unique skill sets on a variety of opponents. Face off against tall, lanky rim protectors, short gravity-defying slam dunk artists, and everyone in between.
