The award-winning planetary strategy game’s free “Home” update launches on PC next week in time for the Steam Base Builder Fest
STOCKHOLM – Jan. 19, 2023 – Raw Fury and Tlön Industries are excited to share that Per Aspera VR is coming to Meta Quest 2 on Feb. 9, 2023. Announced during the Upload VR Winter Showcase 2022, the award-winning planetary simulator will be available as a digital download for $24.99. Bringing a uniquely designed base-building experience to a whole new audience, players will be tasked with crafting a terraforming plan and cultivating a thriving interplanetary civilization, setting a new strategy game standard in VR.
Before then, Steam and GOG.com owners of the original Per Aspera will benefit from a free content update, titled “Home,” coming on January 23. Players will be able to take on an all-new quest that tasks you with building out your population and floral coverage across the red planet. New and continuing technologies will also be added, as well as special projects, buildings and four new achievements. The new content will be implemented in time for the Steam Base Builder Fest on January 23.
About the Game
Per Aspera VR is coming to Meta Quest 2 on February 9. It provides the same world-class gameplay and voice acting talent from the likes of Troy Baker, Laila Berzins, and more, along with co-operative cultivation in sandbox mode, all while immersing and challenging players from a whole new perspective with a VR headset.
As AMI, the world’s most sophisticated AI, you’ll transform a barren landscape into a luscious paradise, while finding a few secrets along the way. With no room for human error, you’ll need to balance resource management with defensive strategies as you face an unknown, aggressive force who do not appreciate your colonial intent.
Per Aspera originally released on Steam and GOG.com on Dec. 3, 2020, followed by “Green Mars,” a free update which introduced flowing water and biomes. “Blue Mars” released in 2022 as paid DLC, encompassing extended play and water routes. “Home” is the latest addition to Per Aspera and will be available for PC on January 23 as a free content update, adding an entirely new quest line and more achievements, as well as new and continuing projects.
