Today, 2K announced Civilization VI: Leader Pass, a new season pass that adds 18 new playable leader selections to Civilization VI, offering players more ways to rule in the critically-acclaimed strategy game1. Leader Pass content will be delivered via six DLC packs scheduled for release from November 21, 2022 through March 20232 on Windows PC via Steam and Epic, MacOS via Steam and the Mac App Store, and iOS via the App Store. The first DLC, Great Negotiators Pack, will be scheduled to release next week on November 21, 2022.
Civilization VI: Leader Pass challenges players to break out of their comfort zones with new approaches to diplomacy, war, expansion and more, featuring 12 leaders brand new to Civilization VI and 6 new takes on existing Civilization leaders. Each leader arrives with a suite of surprising new or updated abilities alongside inventive agendas that’ll change the way you play over five exciting months of world domination.
The Civilization VI: Leader Pass bundles the following packs with more information on each leader’s abilities coming closer to release:
- Great Negotiators Pack (Pack #1): Coming November 21, 2022; test your diplomacy skills with the Great Negotiators Pack, including Abraham Lincoln (United States), Queen Nzinga Mbande (Kongo), and Sultan Saladin (Arabia);

A: Similar to New Frontier Pass, Leader Pass wasn’t part of the original scope for Civilization VI. We decided to create the Leader Pass after we saw the incredible response fans had for New Frontier Pass and their wishes for more Leaders to be added to Civilization VI.
Q: Why not create a second season of New Frontier Pass? Isn’t the scope of Leader Pass smaller than that of New Frontier Pass?
A: New Frontier Pass added new game modes and elements to what was already the biggest Civilization game in history. We feel really good about the quality and quantity of the gameplay systems in Civilization VI, and are excited to surprise fans with how many of these new leader abilities play out in the game.
Q: Will this be the final DLC for Civilization VI?
A: For now, we’re just looking forward to delivering the 18 new Leader Selections coming with Leader Pass over the next few months.
Q: Are you working on a brand new Civilization title?
A: We’re not quite ready to talk about any future Civ game just yet; all we can say is that we want to take the time we need to make sure we build something special that can withstand the test of time. We really appreciate our fans’ patience.

- Existing Civilization VI Anthology Users: Content will be delivered automatically in-game once released if you own Civilization VI Anthology and if you own all Civilization VI content that makes up the Anthology bundle.
- New Buyers of Civilization VI Anthology :
- BUY INDIVIDUALLY: You may purchase the Leader Pass directly through a Buy Page if you choose to NOT complete your Anthology bundle.
- BUNDLE W/ ANTHOLOGY: After the Leader Pass becomes available, it will automatically be included in the Anthology bundle.
- POST-LAUNCH Complete My Bundle: If you choose to “complete your bundle” after the Leader Pass launches, you will automatically be granted the Leader Pass in your library.
