First Game from Next-Generation Technology Company Mythical Launches in Open Beta Dec. 10
LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Dec. 3, 2020 – Mythical Games, a next-generation game technology studio founded by a team of veterans who helped bring some of the world’s biggest gaming franchises to life, today announced its open-world multiplayer game Blankos Block Partywill enter open beta next week, on Thursday, Dec. 10. With the transition to Open Beta, Mythical will be updating the game and adding two new Blankos from top vinyl toy artists Pete Fowler and John-Paul Kaiser.
Blankos, the stars of the game, are collectible interactive digital vinyl toys designed by some of the world’s leading artists. Unlike other games, where the content you pay for is only licensed, in Blankos Block Party players will have ownership of the Blankos they buy, eliminating the need for grey markets and allowing the community to dictate the value of what is bought and sold in secondary marketplaces supported by Mythical. The inclusive world of Blankos Block Party is styled like a giant block party, where players can compete on levels created by Mythical or by the community, build their own minigames to share, take on daily challenges and more!
To celebrate the upcoming launch of the Blankos Block Party open beta, Mythical shared some of its early milestones:
- In just a few short weeks, Blankos Block Party hit 100,000 registered accounts signed up for Beta access
- The Blankos Discord channel has over 15,500 fans who are hanging out with Mythical daily and sharing all the amazing stuff they’re doing in game (if you haven’t joined yet, it’s a great place to get the latest Blankos news and play together!)
- Players created 1600 unique blocks during private beta in 2 weeks
With today’s news, Mythical has also revealed supply counts of its limited edition, limited quantity Founder’s Packs:
- Boss Pack – 3,500
- Bite Me Pack – 4,500
- Tako Pack – 5,500
- Ice Pack – 6,500
These numbers represent the max supply for each pack. Once they are sold out, the only way to get one will be to buy them from sellers on the secondary market when it arrives next year. Mythical will not reissue these items in the future.
The Founder’s Pack sale will close on Sunday, Dec. 13 at 11:59:59 pm PST or when the packs sell out, whichever comes first. For Founder’s Packs that don’t sell out, Mythical will burn any inventory left, which means something you own could become even more rare.
