In what may very well be unprecedented, after only 22 episodes having aired, the 2011 Hunter x Hunter reboot anime series has been green-lit for a feature length film adaptation.
Details are currently scarce on the project besides the facts that the film will feature an original story and will be overseen by Yoshihiro Togashi himself (creator of Hunter x Hunter). Â The film will like the anime series be produced by Madhouse and feature all the same cast reprising their roles. Yoshihiro Togashi will speak about the film in the 16th volume of Weekly Shonen Jump.
