The next time some random ignorant politician or the media comments how video games are the cause of all the evil in the world and all its problems, someone can remind them of the likes of TheBehemoth and events such as XBox’s Gaming and Giving for Good and Extra-life, as well as all the inspiring good work a lot of these companies are involved in when it comes to helping those less fortunate than ourselves.
This is a post via thebehemoth’s blog regarding the Gaming and Giving for Good event:
Hey all, Christine here.
I’m going to log in hours for GAMING & GIVING FOR GOOD this week before the actual day (Saturday, October 1st).
Please help us support Rady’s Children’s Hospital in San Diego, by either donating on our team page HERE or joining our team and getting sponsors to donate money on your behalf! All donations are tax-deductible, and 100% goes to help children in need. Oh and did I mention, you raise awareness by PLAYING video games for every hour you pledge to play!
Everyday, I’ll edit this post with hours I’ll be playing Castle Crashers. If you want to friend me on XBOX, my gamertag is BEHEMOTHXTINE.
Monday, September 26, 2011: 5-7:00pm
Tuesday, September 27, 2011: 4:30-7:30pm
Additionally thebehemoth will also be participating in Extra Life on 15th October so get behind them and donate for the time they will be playing Castle Crashers. Its only a small amount but it all adds up, especially if everyone gets involved.
