PSOne Classics finally come to the Vita on August 28

In one of the largest mishandlings we’ve seen in many years, Sony has just finally announced that they will begin bringing PSOne Classic support to the PlayStation Vita on August 28th with Firmware Update 1.8. However not all games will be immediately supported by the Vita right away.

Sort of like their mishandled PSP library, PSOne Classics will slowly be integrated into the Vita beginning with Final Fantasy VII and Tomb Raider and a couple others. I mean, I do love the Vita and wish there was more to do on it, but it seems that Sony is too busy trying to drive it into the ground with mishandled software to do anything about it.

Sleeping Dogs rise onto store shelves today

Today if you go to your local video game retailer you may want to be quiet, because there are probably going to be plenty Sleeping Dogs on the shelves. Though these Sleeping Dogs will probably be flying off the shelves because this video game looks like it is going to take the market by storm.

Relasing on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Pc today, Sleeping Dogs offers an unprecedented open world experience in Hong Kong as they follow the story of undercover cop Wei Shen. As Wei Shen players must focus on taking down one of the most fearsome criminal games, the Triad, from the inside. Featuring brutal combat, intense gun fights and plenty of side-missions to keep the players busy, Sleeping Dogs looks like it is everything a fan of open world action games could want.

Currently it is unknown when Vita owners can expect this title to be released, though we can likely expect more information over the next few weeks.

Until Dawn announced for PlayStation 3; will make you buy a Move

Today Sony revealed that they are publishing a brand new game that is being developed by Supermassive Games called Until Dawn. The title was inspired by cult teen horror movies and promises to drawn players in with the “shocking, twisted story,” full of “killer dialogue.” Until Dawn will make use of the PlayStation Move and from the trailer shown at Gamescom, which can be seen below, this may be the best looking PlayStation Move game ever.

The story of Until Dawn follows seven teenagers venturing out to the site of their friends’ disappearance a year later in an effort to “bury their ghosts and get some closure.” Obviously things don’t go so smoothly, the power has gone out, the phones have stopped working and you must try to survive horrific events and what appears to be a viscous killer.

PlayStation Plus coming to the Vita

Sony’s handling of the PlayStation Vita can be pretty much summed up with the word atrocious, but it seems that they are trying to fix at least some of their issues with the handheld because today during Sony’s Gamescom press conference it was revealed that the PlayStation Plus service would be moving onto the PlayStation Vita.

Currently it is unknown when this service will be making its way to the Vita nor was it announced if the Plus membership will be included with the basic subscription of if a new fee will need to be paid. Besides the Vita announcement the company also announcd their plans to bring the cloud storage limit of Plus from 150 MB to 1GB. Sounds very limited still, but it is still nearly 80% more space than before…

Assassin’s Creed III Naval Warfare Trailer
