The Last of Us Part I Announced for September 2 Release

After plenty of rumors that it was being developed, Sony and Naughty Dog have made things official by announcing that The Last of Us Part I is indeed getting remade and will be releasing this year for the PlayStation 5 and sometime for the PC. The exact release date for the PlayStation 5 version of the game is September 2nd while the PC version is currently being developed with no set release date. The game will launch at $69.99 and a special “Firefly Edition” priced at $99.99 that includes a number of early in-game unlocks, a steelbook case, and The Last of Us: American Dreams Comics #1 to #4 with new cover art for each comic.

The Last of Us Part I is being stated to “push the limits of the visual fidelity and interactivity” with the development team implementing modernized gameplay, improved controls, and expanded accessibility options with effects, exploration, and combat all being enhanced.
