Internet star with more than 4.7 million subscribers brings popular “Yesterday I Asked You” segments to desktop and mobile

SEATTLE – May 17, 2022Be Funny Now!, the competitive party game created by YouTube star Jacksfilms and developed by Galvanic Games, stages the ultimate comedy competition today on Steam for PC, the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android, launching worldwide later today starting at 10:00 AM PDT.

Be Funny Now! was born from the community engagement fueling Jack Douglass’ (4.7m YouTube subscribers) long-running “Yesterday I Asked You” (YIAY) segments where Jack prompts his fans to give the best answers to various questions or prompts. Thanks to Jack’s fans, YIAY spans more than 600 videos, an ongoing YIAY! Live tour of the United States, and now a video game adaptation.

Be Funny Now! pits up to eight players against each other to be the funniest jokester in the room. Create a private match for friends or find a public game with strangers. Hone a unique craft of hilarity with over 600 written or sketch prompts. Collectively vote on the question or drawing to play for the group and develop a gut-busting repartee.

Think a picture is worth a thousand words? Sketch the funniest drawing that will make all who witness it keel over with laughter. React with different emojis, throw tomatoes at anyone who bombs, and shower those who bring the house down with precious golden roses. Outfunny everyone else to win not just bragging rights among friends and internet strangers but also coins!

Spend those side-splitting winnings on buying items to customize an avatar fit for wordy wisecracking and pictorial hilarity. Buy emotes to find new and clever ways to react to an answer or sketch. Look funny, sound off, and become a recognizable icon of humor to comedians-in-training worldwide.

The now in Be Funny Now! means anytime. Want to crack jokes on the commute to work? Submit an answer to a daily global prompt, vote on others’ responses, and compete to win today’s comedy crown and some coins to boot. Duke it out in a battle of wits with anyone thanks to fully supported crossplay between PC, iOS, and Android versions of the game.

“It’s been a wild ride helping to bring Be Funny Now! to life, and I have to thank Galvanic Games, who helped make this to my standards, the team at Nine Four, who provided the resources to bring this to life, and all the fans who provided great feedback and hilarious answers along the way,” said Jack Douglass, the man behind Jacksfilms. “I learned a lot about game development during this process…and a lot about how to make a billboard.”

Be Funny Now! launches today at 10:00 AM PDT on Steam, Android, and iOS for free. For more information, visit Is Be Funny Now! Out Yet?, follow @Jacksfilms on Twitter and subscribe to Jacksfilms, jackisanerd, and the Jacksfilms Twitch.
