“The Art of NORCO” features over 80 pages of NORCO’s painterly, cinematic pixel art. From conceptual sketches to fleshed-out environments, it showcases the disappearing swamplands, labyrinthine industrial sites and other disturbingly derelict areas in and around the titular town that inspired the game. Discover underlying themes of industrialization, suburbanization, speculative geography, cancer, faith and home, as well as biographies and background on the game’s characters and settings plus interviews and anecdotes from Geography of Robots.

Geography of Robotsblends true stories and personal histories with inspirations from Southern Gothic literature and pulp fiction to create a uniquely dark and captivating game experience. NORCO‘s stunning pixel art depicts real locations, reimagined with a believable twist.

About Art of Fury

Last year, Art of Fury commissioned 38 Raw Fury game-inspired art pieces from 23 artists representing 15 nationalities, held two real-world exhibits, published a virtual gallery on Steam, one online art auction, and donated over 3,500 EUR to charity! This year, Art of Fury kicks off with an exhibit of selectedworks from the Tribeca Games Award-winning NORCO. The virtual gallery is available now online and in the Art of Fury: Virtual Gallery on Steam.

Anyone traveling to Stockholm, Sweden, from February 24 to March 31 can visit the physical gallery at the c/o Bauer Gallery, Köpmanbrinken 4, Old Town. During the exhibition, the physical artworks will be auctioned off, with proceeds to be split between the artists and an environmental organization in the New Orleans region (the digital gallery will not be auctioned).

NORCO takes place in a gritty, distorted version of South Louisiana. While searching for your missing brother in the aftermath of your mother’s death, you’ll team up with a fugitive security android and explore the sinking suburbs, run-down strip malls, drainage ditches, and verdant industrial swamps of Louisiana’s petrochemical hinterlands.

NORCO will be released digitally on March 24 for PC and Mac. The game’s first act is available for free, and progress can be carried to the main game when it launches.
