Dovetail Games Announces Event Sponsorships for the Next Generation of Bassmaster Anglers; Reveals Information on Career Mode for Bassmaster Fishing 2022

Dovetail Games, developer and publisher of authentic sports simulation titles, is pleased to announce their continued sponsorship of official Bassmaster events including this weekend’s College Classic Bracket LIVE presented by Bassmaster® Fishing 2022, the Official Video Game, and share the first details on the career mode included in Bassmaster® Fishing 2022. The title is in development and will release for PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4 home computer entertainment system, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X, and windows PC via Steam in North America and Europe on Oct. 28. Bassmaster® Fishing 2022 is available for pre-order now on PlayStation with a standard edition available for $39.99/ €34.99 / £29.99 and a Digital Deluxe Edition available for $44.99/ €39.99 / £34.99, discounted 10% for PS Plus Members.

Becoming the Bassmaster Classic® Champion is about more than just catching bass – it’s about passion, pride, and skill. To be the best, anglers will need to know their way around their equipment, trust their instincts, and know when to go big. In Bassmaster® Fishing 2022, players will make a name for themselves by climbing the ranks and becoming a master of the water. Taking the real-life progression of professional anglers and recreating it in-game, bass fishing careers will begin in the College Series before moving onto the Bassmaster Opens. If players have the skills to win in the Open events, they’ll be invited to the Elite Series to try and gain enough qualifying points to go to the coveted Bassmaster Classic®. Anglers will need to bring their A-game if they want to be lifting that iconic Bassmaster Classic® trophy! For more details on the road to the Bassmaster Classic® check out the full blog post on the Dovetail Games website.

Dovetail Games is not only bringing Bassmaster® Fishing 2022 to screens by celebrating the best anglers in the business and providing an authentic bass fishing experience for all, but also by investing in the next generation of talented bass anglers aspiring to be the next Bassmaster Champions. As well as sponsoring the 2021 Sabine River Elite tournament, Dovetail Games is sponsoring the Bassmaster College Bracket at Coosa River, Wetumpka, on Oct. 1.

“These events provide opportunities for anglers of all ages and backgrounds that might have otherwise just kept to bass fishing as a hobby; you never know who the next back-to-back Bassmaster Classic winner might be,” said Hank Cherry, professional angler and back-to-backBassmaster Classic® winner, “It’s great to see Dovetail Games bringing a career mode to Bassmaster Fishing 2022 so that more people can experience what it’s like to be a professional angler.”

To celebrate the sponsorship, and to champion upcoming angling talent, Dovetail Games will also be including the name of the College Bracket winner into Bassmaster® Fishing 2022 as a competitor angler. These grass-roots events are where the next great champions grow, and back-to-back Bassmaster Champion Hank Cherry is no better example of how this works. As well as featuring heavily within Bassmaster® Fishing 2022, he knows more than anyone the importance of these Bassmaster events.

The sponsorship doesn’t stop there though – Dovetail Games will sponsor two more events before the end of 2021 – the High School Combine on Oct. 15-17 on Wheeler Lake in Decatur, Alabama, and the Bassmaster Opens at Grand Lake Oklahoma on Oct. 21-23.
