Hinwil, 14 October 2021 – Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN F1 Esports will take another step forward as Fanatec, the leading sim racing hardware brand, joins the team in a partnership for the 2021 season. The Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN F1 Esports drivers will be able to practice and race with the Fanatec Podium Racing Wheel F1 and CSL Elite Pedals with CSL Elite Pedals Loadcell Kit, the golden standard in esports, giving them the most immersive, realistic and true-to-life experience possible.

With more than 20 years of experience at the forefront of sim racing, Fanatec produces the most advanced steering wheels, pedals and complete cockpits for PC and consoles; they are also the official hardware partner of the F1 Esports Pro Series, giving our drivers the opportunity to practice on the same equipment they will race at the highest level of F1 competition.

Fanatec branding will be prominent on the Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN F1 Esports team kit, as well as on the steering wheels used by the team. The Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN F1 Esports team will compete in the F1 Esports Pro Series with the aim to improve on the second place in last year’s championship, a season in which the team also claimed the Drivers’ Championship.

Frédéric Vasseur, CEO Sauber Group: “Like in F1, in Esports it is fundamental to be able to have access to the best materials: our partnership with Fanatec will allow the drivers of the Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN F1 Esports team to do just that, and to prepare for this year’s competition in the best possible way. Our objective is to win and Fanatec are helping us do just that.”

Thomas Jackermeier, CEO Fanatec: “We’re really proud to support the Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN Esports team. Their consistency and raw speed have made them one of the most exciting teams to watch in the F1 Esports Pro Series. By working closely with the drivers and equipping them with cutting-edge Fanatec hardware, Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN Esports will be able to hone their skills and deliver even greater performances in the upcoming championship.”
