GENEROZITY 9 CHARITY STREAM LAUNCHES TODAY FUNDRAISING FOR CURE CANCER

Star ANZ content creators come together for cancer research

Sydney, 30 April 2021 – Today GenerOZity has launched their ninth fundraiser with the Cure Cancer Foundation through a 3-day charity event featuring LoserFruit, PandaTV, JordanRasko and many others. Running from April 30 to May 2, the event will include live discussions with Cure Cancer and plenty of opportunities for the gaming community to do their part for cancer research.

This collaboration marks GenerOZity’s first fundraising event since becoming a fully registered charity with the ACNC (Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission) in January 2021. With Steelseries at the helm as proud sponsors, the broadcast will host 38 high-profile content creators from the Aussie gaming community who will stream live over the weekend event. All funds raised will be donated to Cure Cancer’s efforts to support young researchers and medical institutions within Australia.

“We were introduced to the Cure Cancer team at PAX 2019 where we raised $40k and have been working closely with them ever since,” said Joel Rennie, Director of GenerOZity. “We continue to work directly with their executive team on shaping and supporting their fundraising efforts.”

Since their launch as a non-for-profit organisation in 2017, GenerOZity has raised over $208,000 for a number of important causes such as mental health, Fire and Rescue services and hospitals. The charity relies on the generosity of community members and volunteers who donate their time to supporting Australian talent and providing financial aid where it’s most needed.
