Insurgency: Sandstorm Releases “Operation: Cold Blood” Update on Steam

Check out a new winter map, weapons, customization items and more in the latest free update for the hit tactical FPS

PARIS Dec. 8, 2020 Insurgency: Sandstorm from Focus Home Interactive and New World Interactive is getting another massive, free update today! Celebrating two years of hardcore tactical FPS action, the “Operation: Cold Blood” update brings a little of everything to players the world over: a new winter map, two new weapons, and more.

“Cold Blood” introduces Bab, a unique map set in a snowy mountain village built around an ancient citadel. This map is perfect for snipers, with long sightlines and an open layout, but it’s also great for close combat indoors, with tight alleyways all throughout.

The Marksman class now has two new high-caliber semi-automatic battle rifles to play with: the M110 SASS on Security, and for Insurgents, an older Army-issue WWII classic, the M1 Garand. Each comes with a wide selection of attachments and scopes.

Finally, today’s update includes a variety of other additions, most notably toggleable optic scopes to make it easier to swap between different zoom levels. There’s also a new cosmetic bundle featuring four “Cold Blood”-themed DLCs.

Insurgency: Sandstorm is on sale for 50% off on Steam today through December 14. For more info, visit https://Insurgency-Sandstorm.com, and follow @InsurgencyGame on Twitter.
