Blackbird Interactive and Focus Home Interactive’s zero-g sandbox spaceship salvaging game Hardspace: Shipbreaker has been a hit on Steam Early Access all summer, and today the team is celebrating in a few ways! First up: a new Hardspace: Shipbreaker trailer showing off some of the coolest gameplay highlights and explosive decompressions the streaming community has discovered in this unique physics-based world:
Today’s new game update, playable now on the beta branch, brings a new subclass of ship and additional tutorials for players. The upcoming releases of Acts 2 and 3 will bring hours of new gameplay to the campaign, as well as even more new ships, tools, upgrades, game modes, customization options and more — check out the game’s living roadmap to see what’s coming.
Finally, today kicks off the new September Equinox community event, opening two new competitions to salvagers everywhere: one to write an in-game narrative log, and another to design a collectible decal. The two winners will have their submitted content implemented in-game, as well as other prizes still to be announced. Players can join the Hardspace: Shipbreaker Discord for more information.
One last thing! You can grab Hardspace: Shipbreaker on Steam Early Access for 25% off until Sept. 14 through the Focus Home Interactive Publisher Weekend on Steam.
Hardspace: Shipbreaker is also in development for PlayStation®4 and Xbox One.
