Wizard Entertainment Postpones Chicago Event To June 24-27, 2021

Wizard World’s Largest, Longest Running Show Moves Dates At Donald E. Stephens Convention Center; Ticket Purchasers Can Use On Rescheduled Date

ROSEMONT, Ill., July 28, 2020 – Wizard Entertainment, Inc. (OTCBB:WIZD) today announced that its Wizard World Chicago convention, originally scheduled for August 20-23 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, has been postponed due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. The revised dates for the 23rd annual event, Wizard World’s largest and longest running show, are June 24-27, 2021.

Fans who purchased general admission and/or VIP tickets for the original dates may use those for the rescheduled dates. Artists, exhibitors and others associated with the event can expect communication from Wizard Entertainment soon regarding the new dates.

Previously, Wizard World announced other entries on its early calendar of events taking place in 2021: New Orleans, January 8-10; Philadelphia, Jan. 15-17; Portland, January 29-31; Cleveland, February 26-28; and St. Louis, March 12-14.

Communities across North America have supported Wizard events for more than 20 years; Wizard Entertainment’s paramount concern is for everyone’s safety and well-being. Wizard Entertainment looks forward to continuing its pop culture conventions at a time deemed appropriate by public health and government officials, in consultation with other local authorities as necessary.

In an exciting initiative that has gained traction in its own right, Wizard Entertainment invites fans to participate in free daily Wizard World Virtual Experiences, in which celebrities from favorite TV shows, film franchises and more conduct group video Q&As, available on Twitch, Facebook and YouTube. Wizard Entertainment has conducted more than 75 of these sessions to date, which have been expanded to include artists, authors, cosplayers, trivia, karaoke and other elements of the Wizard World event experience.
