Choice of two editions are now available to pre-order on Steam; deluxe version to include three-day beta access before launch, digital artbook, and a quest to unlock a flotsam of cosmetics for stranded survivalists and monkeys to wear.
Tuesday, 28th July 2020 – Team17 is today announcing that Steam pre-orders are now open for the upcoming solo and co-operative survival and crafting game, The Survivalists, which is scheduled to launch later this year on PC and consoles. Two editions, a standard and deluxe version, are available to pre-order on Steam, with both editions giving players access to the Monkey Business downloadable content.
Once completed, the Monkey Business DLC provides players with additional accessories for their stranded humans (the exclusive Straw Hat, The Escapists Guard Hat, and Unicorn Hat) and six additional hats for their monkeys (Top Hat, Lumberjack Hat, Chef Hat, Crown, Hard Hat, and Pirate Hat). The deluxe edition also contains the official soundtrack to the game, a digital artbook, and three days of beta access ahead of the official launch. Those who pre-order the deluxe edition of The Survivalists will receive a 10 percent discount on the full launch price
The Survivalists takes place in The Escapists universe and sees up to four players stranded on a procedurally generated island, where they’re tasked with rescuing, befriending, and training their island’s monkey population while exploring, crafting, and overcoming marauding orc groups in order to survive.
