WrestleMania 36 Moved to Stream Only on April 5

The COVID-19 pandemic has already caused a number of major events to postpone or cancel their plans and with nearly all sports and forms of entertainment coming to a halt, even wrestling is finally feeling the rub. WWE has announced that WrestleMania 36 will no longer be held at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on April 5th and is instead now going to be held at the WWE Performance Center on the same day where it will be streamed live at 7 PM ET on the WWE Network.

This presentation will only feature “essential personnel” and no fans will be allowed to attend the event to follow quarantine and “social distancing” procedures as advised by government officials. This marks the first time that Wrestlemania will not be held in front of a live audience and it is currently unknown how refunds will be handled for those who have already purchased tickets to attend the major event, including the “Axess” pass that runs the week prior, especially since this notice comes only two weeks prior to the start of the event.
