ROSWELL, Ga. — Mar. 26, 2019 — Tripwire Interactive, creators of the critically acclaimed Killing Floor and Red Orchestra franchises, will be releasing the first major content updates of 2019 later today for Killing Floor 2 and Rising Storm 2: Vietnam. To commemorate these first free updates of 2019, Tripwire Interactive is running a free week on Steam for both Killing Floor 2 and Rising Storm 2: Vietnam starting at 10 a.m. PDT today, March 26, and ending 10 a.m. PDT April 1. Starting now, players on PlayStation®4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam can jump into Killing Floor 2: Cyber Revolt Update and experience Spillway, a brand new map that along with the new weapons and cosmetics brings a cyberpunk aesthetic to the gruesome glory of Killing Floor 2. Now annihilating zeds is even more thrilling with two new weapons, the Helios Rifle and the Killerwatt, along with other new content like music, achievements, and prestige enhancements. Killing Floor 2: Cyber Revolt will also support limited-time objectives that will run until the end of the event, on April 23. For full details on today’s launch, please head to the official Killing Floor 2: Cyber Revolt microsite.

The Rising Storm 2: Vietnam Spring Map Update, available now on Steam, introduces 3 new maps to the series:

  • Apache Snow – A reimagining of classic map Winterwald from Red Orchestra 2
  • DMZ – Another reimagined Red Orchestra 2 classic based on Mamayev
  • Saigon – A popular community-made map that has been polished and made official

In Killing Floor 2, join a motley crew of civilians, soldiers, and mercenaries as they band together to fight off waves of murderous Zeds, horrific and monstrous clones that have descended upon continental Europe following an outbreak caused by the Horzine Corporation. Choose from multiple classes, tons of weapons ranging from traditional assault rifles to off-the-wall “Mad Scientist” tools of slaughter, and customize the perfect Zed-slaying warrior with a wide variety of perks geared toward different playstyles and roles. With support for up to 6-players in Survival Mode, 12-players for Versus Survival, and regular free content updates consisting of new maps, weapons and gameplay enhancements, Killing Floor 2 is the perfect starting point for players looking for FPS multiplayer mayhem.

Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is the sequel to Rising Storm, PC Gamer magazine’s 2013 ‘Multiplayer Game of the Year’, published by Tripwire Interactive and developed by Antimatter Games. Command your team to victory in massive 64-player battles with authentic weapons, aircraft, and maps that pit conventional military forces against guerilla forces.

About Tripwire Interactive

Gamers want games that grab their attention and will keep them coming back for more. Tripwire has been producing those types of games since the first Red Orchestra mod that won the “Make Something Unreal” competition in 2004. Since then Tripwire has won numerous Multiplayer and FPS Game of the Year awards from top editorial sites—and millions have played a Red Orchestra or Killing Floor game, with an average play time of over 40 hours, per player, per game! Since it first launched for PC in 2009, Killing Floor has sold over five million units worldwide. Tripwire has published select 3rd-party titles (The Ball, Zeno Clash, Dwarfs?!), supported each title with free extra content and taken their brand of winning gaming to console, to continuously expand that base. Tripwire will continue to offer new and exciting gaming experiences both to their millions of fans and to new gamers alike—including Killing Floor 2 for PC, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®4 Pro, Xbox One, and Xbox One X, Rising Storm 2: Vietnam for PC, Killing Floor: Incursion for Oculus Touch and HTC VIVE in 2017—along with PlayStation®VR and Windows Mixed Reality in 2018. In addition to developing their own games Tripwire announced a new publishing division at E3 2018 designed to help other independent studios bring their games to market through a truly collaborative publishing model. Road Redemption for PC, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One X, and Nintendo Switch will be the first game to come from the new publishing arm in Fall 2018 and Maneater for PC will be coming in 2019. Tripwire also recently announced a partnership with Digital Lode to bring Espire 1: VR Operative to VR platforms in 2019.
