Live Action Short Film Conviction to be based on Anthem

EA and Bioware announced they will be partnering with Neill Blomkamp for a live action short film based on the upcoming shooter Anthem. Blomkamp’s past works as a director include District¬†9, Elysium, and Chappie.

Entitled Conviction, the film is set decades before the events of Anthem. While the exact details of the plot have not been released, the film will follow the freelancers of Fort Tarsis. A short teaser for the film has been released on YouTube.

Anthem is a new four player co-op shooter. Players will equip a variety of Javelin exosuits armed with special abilities to battle the hostile world outside of Fort Tarsis.

Anthem will officially launch on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on February 22nd. Those with Origin Access Premiere will get early access to the PC version on February 15th. Those with EA Access on consoles and Origin Access Basic will have access to the Play First Trial instead.
