SKYBOUND GAMES PARTNERS WITH ADULT SWIM GAMES AND TEAM CHERRY TO BRING INDIE GAMES TO NEW PLATFORMS

Death’s Gambit and Hollow Knight Are the Latest Additions to Skybound’s Growing Slate

LOS ANGELES, CA (August 22, 2018) – Publishing venture Skybound Games today announced two new partnerships, bringing Death’s Gambit with Adult Swim Games to PS4, and Hollow Knight with Team Cherry to PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch through physical distribution.

“Hollow Knight and Death’s Gambit represent the very best of independent game development,” said Skybound Games CEO Ian Howe. “I’m thrilled to partner with Team Cherry, and Adult Swim and White Rabbit to bring them to retail.”

Death’s Gambit, a monster-slaying action RPG from Adult Swim and White Rabbit, will be available in the upcoming months. Players serve as an agent of Death in a stylized, gothic world of beasts, knights, and horrors that must be defeated in challenging battles. Hollow Knight, an epic 2D action-adventure featuring an assortment of creatures brought to life in moody detail, will be available in spring 2019.

“We are excited to partner with Skybound in distributing Death’s Gambit on PS4,” said Jeff Olsen, VP of Adult Swim Digital & Games. “The game has a passionate fanbase, and we know that a physical release from Skybound will be welcome news to them.”

“Skybound immediately impressed us with their experience and their focus on quality, and we can’t wait for them to deliver the definite version of Hollow Knight into players’ hands,” said Team Cherry Co-Founders Ari Gibson and William Pellen.

Death’s Gambit and Hollow Knight are the latest additions to Skybound Games’ growing slate since the venture was announced earlier this year. The first two projects published out of Skybound Games, The Long Dark from Hinterland and Slime Rancher from Monomi Park, will be available on Xbox One and PS4 platforms at retail on September 4, 2018. Skybound Games also recently announced a partnership with Lab Zero Games to publish Skullgirls, a fast-paced 2D fighting game that puts players in control of fierce warriors in a Dark Deco world, both digitally and physically.
