Destiny 2 Launches on PC

After being delayed for over a month, Destiny 2 has launched on PC. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game launched back in early September. Destiny 2 is a FPS with MMO mechanics. The game focuses on PVE gameplay, but greater effort that been put into improving the PVP experience over the original Destiny.

The game marks the first time a non-Blizzard title will be released on the Battle.net client. Previously, Activision has released their PC titles strictly on Steam, including their blockbuster Call of Duty franchise. The launch of Destiny 2 on the Battle.net client does not appear to mark a change of strategy for Activision, as Call of Duty: World War 2 will still be a Steam exclusive on the PC. The move appears to be strictly a result of Activision tapping into Blizzard’s lengthy experience and existing resources for online PC gaming for Destiny 2.
