The Aussies are Joining the Battle in Day of Infamy

New World Interactive announced that the Australian Army and their iconic slouch hats and Owen guns are joining the Commonwealth faction in the World War II FPS Day of Infamy. The Aussies are represented by the 2/17th Battalion and are joined by The Black Watch (Commonwealth), 761st Tank Battalion “Black Panthers” (US Army), and 272nd Volksgrenadier Division (Germany). A new industrial themed map called Rhineland is also part of the update.

The Aussie update is also bringing plenty of new cosmetic items. A new batch of melee weapons are being added to the game along with veteran skins and cloth wraps for certain weapons. Players can unlock the skins by reaching a certain number of kills with the weapon. Additionally, hardcore players will be pleased to find that four new ranks have been added along with the Tour system that lets players reset their ranks in exchange for 15 unit items and a million experience points.

The Aussie update is out now. To celebrate, Day of Infamy will be 25% for two weeks. Additionally, those who buy the game on Chrono.gg will get a free copy of Insurgency.
