Funcom’s The Secret World reboot called Secret World Legends will launch on June 26 via Steam. The RPG is currently in closed beta, with batches of keys going out with some regularity. The new game will be free to play on launch with an optional paid monthly memberships that provides bonus rewards, cosmetic items, and quality of life services. The release date announcement was bundled with a brand new trailer outlining Secret World Legends and new screenshots.
While The Secret World will continue to run, Secret World Legends will deliver a brand new experience that updates mechanics and graphics to modern standards. The combat and weapon system has been revamped to make the game feel more responsive and action packed. More information on the new combat system is scheduled to be revealed in the coming weeks. The tutorials have been upgraded to be friendlier for new players. The cosmetic system has also been upgraded to be more user friendly.
