Ubisoft has pulled back the covers on the next Far Cry game. The new game is moving from the Stone Age to modern Americana. Set in Montana, Far Cry 5 puts players in the shoes of a new junior deputy in Hope County, Montana. The town has been taken over by a doomsday cult called the Project at Eden’s Gate. The cult has cut off Hope County from the rest of the world and forcibly converted the citizens at a barrel of a gun. Players will lead the battle to liberate the town and boot out Project at Eden’s Gate for good. To support them are a variety of characters and animals to recruit in their campaign.
Far Cry 5 is set to be the first in the series with customizable characters and full two player co-op. The map editor is also making its return, allowing players to create additional content to wreak havoc upon. Far Cry 5 is scheduled to launch for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on February 27, 2018.
