Deck13 and Focus Home Interactive has released a brand new trailer revealing more details about The Surge’s loot system. Tied deeply into the game’s combat system, players will need to make a dangerous choice in combat: extend the fight to get more loot by hacking off armoured pieces or end the battle quickly by hitting unarmoured weak spots on the enemy. Healing items come a premium in The Surge, so players will need to balance risk and reward with each fight.
The Surge is an action RPG set in a future ravaged by climate change. Humans have been reduced to manual labour in exo-suits after technology pushed humans out of most jobs. After a mysterious blackout strikes a CREO work site, our hero Warren must repurpose the industrial machines for a more violent purpose to survive. The game launches for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on May 16.
