Cyanide Studio and Focus Home Interactive released a new trailer for their upcoming stealth game Styx: Shards of Darkness. The new video puts Styx’s new skills and equipment front and centre, with the goblin maneuvering deftly around the tower to he can ambush the enemy. One of the most important upgrades is Styx’s swinging skills, allowing him to swing from ropes and get the literal drop on the enemy. Additionally, Styx’s clone ability has been expanded. Cocoon allows Styx to spawn a clone at a safe distance, while Rebirth allows him to teleport to the clone’s location. Finally, players can get a look at the new acid trap that dissolves pesky enemies so their friends will never know they were even killed.
Styx: Shards of Darkness is an expanded sequel due to the success of the first game Styx: Master of Shadows. Styx: Shards of Darkness introduces the Unreal Engine 4, a variety of gameplay upgrades, and co-op multiplayer to the series. The game is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in March 2017.
