Sentai Filmworks has just announced that they have licensed the ‘slice-of-life comedy’ series Magic of Stella. This anime adaptation is currently airing on Japanese television as a part of the Autumn 2016 season. It is adapted from the four-panel manga series of the same name, which is serialised in Manga Time Kirara Max.

The series is about Tanaka Honda and her high school club working to produce an indie game (doujin game). Tamaki is the illustrator, Shiina is the club president and the programmer, Ayamo is the scenario writer, Kayo is the music composer and Yumine is the club’s fujoshi.

The adaptation is directed by Shinya Katsuwara (Non Non Biyori, Tanaka-kun Is Always Listless). Fumihiko Shimo (Myriad Colors Phantom World, Infinite Stratos, New Game!) handled the series composition. Silver Link (WataMote, Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya) animated the adaptation.
