GKT Studios’ Releases Janken Cards on Steam Today October 17
BARCELONA, Spain —October 17th, 2016— Steam gamers and card-game fans alike, today is your lucky day! Janken Cards is released. The game gives a 180 degree spin to the classic Rock-Paper-Scissors game we’re all familiar with by adding new rules and a variety of wild cards that enhance the player’s fun.
The objective of the game is to accumulate more points and wildcards than the opponent in order to win more hands. To achieve this, the player must devise a competent strategy each time. Since the player is able to see the opponent’s cards he/she must think ahead and strategize in a way they believe will master their opponent’s moves. The game’s rules have been designed to make it easy to play but difficult to master gameplay.
“We’ve made a game that is fairly easy to understand and to play, but everyone who has tried it said there is some difficulty getting a high ratio of hands won”, said Alex Climent, Managing Director at GKT Studios.
Developers have made the game very visual, for example the handling of the cards is laid out around the board and a variety of possible moves are displayed as well. Just a keyboard or a gamepad needed. The game is played in turns, where everything happens on a background chosen at the beginning of the game as well as the type of card deck used.
