‘When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace’ Acquired by Sentai Filmworks

Sentai Filmworks has announced their acquisition of the When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace anime. The adaptation aired in Japan in late 2014. The series will be available on DVD and Blu-ray with dual language options on August 30, 2016. Sentai Filmworks provided a synopsis of the series:

One day, a group of four girls and one boy in the literature club experienced an incredible power awakening within them. With that, they dove into an exciting world of high-powered magical battles to defend humanity… or did they? With their daily lives remaining mostly peaceful, they find that they can use their powers fairly wastefully. The curtain opens on a story filled with comedy, love, and, of course, supernatural battles!

The anime is based on the original light novel series by Kota Nozomi. 029 provided the original illustrations. Masahiko Otsuka was the chief director and the person in charge of handling the series composition. Masanori Takashi directed the series, and Satoshi Yamaguchi provided the character design. The series was animated by TRIGGER, the animation company known for their original series Little Witch Academia and Kill la Kill.
