Detective Pikachu Game Announced for 3DS

Anyone with a good memory for Pokemon will remember roughly 3 years ago a picture surfaced of a detective Pikachu. This was said to be for a new game where the Pikachu would solve mysteries and be able to talk. Well now that game has officially been unveiled by the Pokemon Company Japan and we have an official title, release date and a trailer to go along with the announcement.

Detective Pikachu Birth of a New Duo will be a cinematic adventure puzzle solving game that will star a “smug, talking, lovable detective Pikachu”. The Pikachu and human character Tim Goodman will explore Rhyme City to uncover a mystery. The game will be a completely one player experience for the Nintendo 3DS. It will be available from February 3rd on the Nintendo eShop for 1500 Yen. The game is able to be pre-loaded now. So yeah this 20th Pokemon anniversary is proving to be full of interesting announcements and games.
