FLYING BATTLESHIP DINOSAUR “QUETZALCOATLUS” SOARS INTO ARK: SURVIVAL EVOLVED DURING 33% OFF STEAM SALE
After last week’s massive update to ARK: Survival Evolved – with two new climate-specific areas the “Swamp” and “Snow” biomes – the Studio Wildcard team has let loose the newest dinosaur on the island, the massive flying battleship dino “Quetzalcoatlus.” Known to his friends simply as “Quetz” this gigantic creature can safely carry vast amounts of supplies, creatures and ARK survivors from one base to another. Current players can update their game then scour the skies to locate the rare Quetz flying among the clouds. New players can start the epic survivor-adventure ARK: Survival Evolved during its limited-time sale through Thursday on Steam for $19.99 (33% off standard price).

The island of ARK has been recently expanded! Check out the new “Swamp” and Snow” zones where climate-specific animals abound. The “Swamp” is a fetid, hazy, waterlogged expanse filled with prehistoric snakes, gators, bugs, piranhas, and the “Beezlebufo” gigantic frog, which players can ride to vault over obstacles with huge leap. Then head to the subzero temperatures of the “Snow” zone, where players need to don bulky fur armor. This cold weather zone is also home to the vicious yet rideable “Dire Wolves” and the elegant Megaloceros “Stags” that also call this zone home.
The most popular open-world Early Access game on Steam, ARK: Survival Evolved brings a new level of depth to the survival genre with a unique blend of emergent multiplayer cooperation and competition. Players awake naked and starving on the beach of a mysterious island among a herd of other confused humans and must explore the vast island of ARK to survive. What is the secret to survival?
Developed by Studio Wildcard, in conjunction with Instinct Games, ARK: Survival Evolved will launch in June 2016 on Xbox One via the ID@Xbox program, PlayStation®4 with Project Morpheus support, and full release on Steam. The game is currently in Steam’s Early Access program and includes Oculus Rift VR support and an integration of Steam community features such as Steam Economy and Steam Workshop for custom maps and mods. Players can host private/LAN servers and have access to a custom-built version of the Unreal Engine 4 Editor for creating mods. The world of ARK is designed to be modder-friendly and ever-expanding!
