Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Pre-Order Campaign Dropped Due to Backlash

Previously Square Enix launched a rather sketchy pre-order program for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided that locked various bonuses behind undetermined pre-order goals that would be unlocked as more people pre-ordered the title and result in consumers having to choose various bonuses, eventually culminating in a possible four day early release of the game if all goals were met.

Thankfully after almost unanimous fan backlash Square Enix has decided that this wasn’t the best idea in the world and have changed their “Augment your Pre-Order” campaign to a more standard affair where all of the bonuses will be available to those who either pre-order or pick up a launch copy of the game.
