News MADMAN Anime News

Australian and New Zealand media distributor Madman Entertainment has revealed a new release window for Sailor Moon Season 1 Part 1. It will be released on DVD only in December 2015. The precise release date will be revealed on or by October 1, 2015, which is when pre-orders will begin.

There will be a regular DVD edition containing episodes 1-24 and a limited edition release that will come with a hard collector’s box. This will have space for Part 2, which will be released in early 2016. This edition will also feature a booklet featuring character designs and profiles and additional artwork. The other announced editions are two ‘mass market exclusive’ volumes, the first containing episodes 1-7 and the second containing episodes 8-14.

Madman’s release will use the video masters used for the European releases of the series. All of the releases will feature their respective episodes with the original Japanese audio, Viz Media’s English dub and English subtitles.
