Earlier today Sentai Filmworks announced that they have acquired the license to the anime series Locodol which debuted during the summer 2014 anime season. Locodol, animated by Feel, is a twelve episode anime adaptation of the 4-koma manga of the same name and follows the story of a high school girl named Nanako Usami, who is convinced by her uncle to form a local idol group, or “locodol” for short. Along with her upperclassman, Yukari Kohinata, and friends Yui and Mirai, they form “Nagarekawa Girls” to promote the town and its businesses.

Currently Sentai Filmworks has not stated when anime fans can expect the series to be released but they are planning on releasing the series on home video sometime in the future.
