Hot off the launch of their rebranding, Logitech has announced a new line of protective cases for various iPad models called Logi BLOK. The Logi BLOK Protective Shell for iPad Air 2 and iPad mini, Logi BLOK Protective Case for iPad Air 2, and Logi BLOK Protective Keyboard Case for iPad Air 2 are all releasing in early August. All three products have internally ribbed, square corners that better absorb impact from drops as high as 1.8m, even on concrete!
Michele Hermann, vice president of mobility at Logitech, said this of the new line;
The iPad is a powerful device. But people have dropped and damaged – or are afraid that they will drop and damage – the iPad, so they typically don’t use it to its full potential. Until now, protecting your iPad from drops meant covering it with a bulky case that took away from the beauty and mobility of the iPad. Our designers worked with material experts to protect the most sensitive parts of the iPad without adding the bulk you associate with ultra-protective cases. With the Logi BLOK family of cases you no longer have to choose between protecting your iPad and having a beautiful case that allows you to enjoy all the functionality it has to offer.
The Development of the Logi BLOK Family of Protective Cases
The Protective Case has a stand with a range of 50 degrees, and a screen cover, to be made available in black/red, red/violet or teal/blue colour combos. The Protective Keyboard Case features the same stand (enabling up to four “modes” of use), as well as a detachable, wireless keyboard featuring a row of iOS shortcut keys, and a smart power management system that will help your tablet conserve battery life. It will also be available in the colour combos listed above. Finally, the Protective Shell’s unique addition is a screen protector, to prevent nasty scratches.
