Nintendo kicked off their E3 2015 digital event with puppets and the announcement of Star Fox Zero for the Wii U. Star Fox Zero will feature the classic third-person view shown through the television while the Wii U GamePad will give players a first person cockpit view.

The gyro function in the GamePad will be used to aim while the buttons can be used to perform various flips and transform the Arwing into a walker, landmaster, or gyrowing as there will be both air and land battles. Miyamoto went on to say that Star Fox Zero is not a sequel or a remake in any form but its own unique game. Check out the reveal trailer below.

This game looks promising. More vehicles and you can change vehical mid mission. Was expecting this kind of game after Star Fox 64. I do remember Star Fox Adventures for the GameCube but that went in a different direction to SF64, and i guess it would of been harder to adapt this game to the Wii. Still, im glad Fox McCloud and the gang get another crack at it.
